“ I'm saddened by how small The Claim Company restaurant has become. They used to be in a bigger location at Northbrook Court (where Di Pescara is currently located). They then downsized and moved to their current location in a small-ish space off Dundee and Skokie Boulevard. Regardless of the size of the place, the food is still as good as it was when I was growing up. The Motherlode, their signature build your own burger is still one of the best burgers around. They have a terrific skirt steak sandwich on garlic bread, and wonderful salads (sorry, they removed their awesome salad bar years ago). Regardless, their food has always been good. They also had a location in Vernon Hills that they closed, reopened, and rebranded, now called Wick n' Ore. One other thing they are known for is how they treat you. And they treat you right. They have provided food and impeccable service at fundraising events and are willing to help out their community. The restaurant's staff is always friendly, welcoming, and always offering to help you select the right dish for that perfect meal. I can honestly say that whether you're visiting for their mouthwatering Motherlode burgers or another savory dish, or a crisp salad, Claim Company or Wick n' Ore are great choices any day or night of the week. ”
